The MP3 line has distinctive looks, and hits the performance/efficiency sweet spot like a ton of awesomeness. The 500 comes in an absolutely evil black or a nice red. In black, the machine looks like it was made from Batmobile overstock parts, an image that is enhanced by the innovative three-wheeled chassis, which echoes the larger three-wheeled BRP Can-Am Spyder motorcycle. The 500 will clock 89 mph flat-out, and enjoys a respectable (if not exactly inspiring) mileage of 55 to 57 mpg with a 3.2-gallon tank of unleaded. Whereas the 492.7-cc engine pumps up the jam, the extra wheel up front means better control and one more disc brake than other scooters, which in turn translates into 20% more stopping power than two-wheeled scoots. With a 40-degree lean angle, you’re going to look like a pro racer every time you take a corner.
